The locale and scenery reminds me of 1956-57 at Charleston, RI. The strip was a USN auxilary (sp?) base. Same deal - set up Sunday morning, everything had to be taken down by nightfall so they could land planes on Monday. The race track was about a mile long landing strip.. No trees anywhere around the landing strip, just like the scenery in your video. Hay bales for spectator protection. Had a great time back then. Had the flag starters too, lights were not yet available. Very crude clocks.
