I agree with all of the above. Around here(esp. the bay area you are going to pay a premium to get something that meets what you described. I'd look out of state, and ebay / craigslist for the car that meets what your looking for, that someone else needs to sell now. After all a plane ticket just about anywhere in the US is going to be cheaper by a long shot then the Bay Area Markup tax that you'll pay. Plus with the money you save, you can get it repainted or upholstered to your tastes, and still not wait two years for someone to make it for you! Fixing a used well built car may be a lot cheaper than building a new car with an iffy less expensive builder!
