Good news!
Virginia lets us look up our vehicle info online. I decided to take a look a few minutes ago, and this is what I found:
Make FORD
Year 1934
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) R****
Yep, it's actually titled as a 1934 Ford Coupe. The "R" in the VIN stands for replica. I haven't received the title yet, but it has to be on the way.
Bottom line, folks in the Title department DID know what they were doing. The enforcement officer and the CSR were out to lunch.
When I get time, I'll post a procedure. I'll probably send it to SEMA also.
Next step - to get the brief inspection - to confirm that I've met all of the 1934 safety requirments
. I assume the inspectors haven't a clue either . . . but, I'm here to edjumicate them.

Two possibilities exist:
Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not.
Both are equally terrifying.
