The one advantage to living close to the big city is that the dmv window has 30 clerks .... 30 chances for one of em to get it right ,and if they dont,I just goto the next dmv

Oh well , here I go now,,,,, First, I work for the SCDOT , I have operated heavy equipment there for about 3 years now. Bad choice on my part, but; I do have a " pay nothing job " for the time being.
I have been in trucking all my life. I have owned several business during my life.
When I come to work, and look around, I can understand why most of the people are there. From the bottom to the very top. IDIOTS A PLENTY ...........
My DMV story..... it was almost time to renew my Class A CDL with every endorsement you can possibily have. I go to the DMV , NOPE , you must go to the other office, we don't do that here. OK ......
I go to the other office, I go through the basics,
I have to have my medical card to show them that I am breathing, $75.00 for that, renew it every 2 years.
Then I have to take the HAZMAT test again , " I have had my licence for 31 years now", OK , I pass, $15.00 for that,
Now, I have to be fingerprinted and ran through the Federal Database to see if I am a terrorist for the HAZMAT endorsement, $ 85.00 for that, " If I wanted to be a terrorist I don't think I would care if I had a licence or not"
Now, I have to wait for 4-6 weeks for the Federal check they say, it took 1 week to get the letter.
Take the letter back and pay another $15.00 to have my picture took and get my new licence.
It is good for 5 years, and; then I will have to go through all that again.
It is sad ..... very very sad .......Our country is run this way ...... Time for a change people.
Just a note on the SCDOT , it is the most wasteful thing I have ever seen in my entire life. Run by IDIOTS, I guess they need a job too.
2 more years for me and I am out, with a little something to have as a retirement, Very little .

Can't help but wonder if so many people are aware of the "I don't care, I don't have to" attitude, and the ever rapidly increasing cost of whatever the governments stick their nose into..........why are nearly half (maybe more?) the folks in this country (maybe the same percentage on this site) so anxious to have the Federal Govt take over administration of their health care?

Something to think about. Rapidly increasing costs, coupled with decreasing service in the medical area wasn't complained about much before..........oh say..........1966. Funny, wasn't that the year Medicare started being implemented? Hmmmmmmmm......................nah, must just be a coincidence.

Now all we need is Gore for some "pollution free" public transportation,
The guy from law and order as the president and Arnold Govenator as the the leader of the biggest state in the US.........public media controlled by some sort of Gerbils type figure in the background {fcc}and a public thats only wants a government to cry about ,not to actually participate in and we can have some Communist pie right here,I mean really ,the government actually sniffs the tail of your car and makes sure its up to thier standards in parts per million,can not get much more invasive than that ,...untill they start hearding us in for yearly checks at the government healthcare centers.
