I got 83%, They through some real curve balls at you on that test.
I only got 73%, and should have known some of the ones I missed. :( :(
Fun little test, thanks for posting.
Don
I started to take it, but my attention span ran out on drink holders and BMWs. :-)
I got 60%. Not to bad for someone who wasn't even alive during the majority of those events!
I'm embarassed to admit I got the VW questions right and missed the cup holder question.
67% not bad :D
70% must have been asleep when the cup holders came out.
whats a cup holder?
ahhhh Duh!!! Its called a jock!Quote:

glad that everyone is enjoying it. though it makes me feel stupid for such a low score. even though i did not start driving until th 80's.
hey do not feel bad i did not do that hot **)Quote:

70. :-(
I would not call those "serious enthusiast questions". I'm surprised they didn't ask how much the cigarette lighter option cost on a '56 Studebaker truck.
We could have come up with a better quiz.......Huh, boys? :-)
Now that is a quiz that i would really love to take. though i am sure that i would score even lower than i did on this one.
We could fool around with our own questions. :-)
what was the 1st performace oreiented sbc chevy ever built
I too considered the removal of the road tube and addition of pcv the first real smog controls, but when I couldn't even guess what years cup holders started,or what model beemer to choose,it totally shattered my self-confidence. Why must these true geniuses do the these things. Hank
Gassersrule...that'd be a tough one! Arkus built a 265 with a 4-53 blower in '55, would that be the first?
The first one!!! :-)Quote:

The higher the score, the older the person? I got an 80.
Correct answer............"they haven't built one yet." :LOL:Quote:

Don't get me started! LOL!
47% im a dummy!
Don't feel bad. Some of the stuff is easy if you were actively involved in cars at the time it happened....but not the sort of thing anyone discusses after it's over.
... got an 87% ..... damn "cup holder" question .....
90%, woo. damn cupholders...
None of my cars have cupholders. I just stick said beverage container between my legs.
naturally missed the easy ones and got 77%
Yeah me too! I ended up with 73%, smarter than the average bear, but they still caught me on a couple.Quote:

Personally I think they either polled liars or non commuters about the "eating in the car" question. I probably do more than 50 breakfastes alone each year  , let alone the lunches, especially on long trips. Just love those McDonald breakfast sandwiches.
Actually knowing that many answers is kinda of sad. I need more hobbies.
I agree with Uncle Bob on the pollution control device (I missed that one), thought it should be the PCV also. Didn't know the introduction date of the VW Microbus and missed the cupholder question also. Still don't know the signicense of the cupholders. Don't use them anyway.
87 %
ashamed i did not the year of the cupholder
:HMMM: :HMMM: old whats old:confused: i got a well say old score then:D :D :D :DQuote:

Not bad for somebody "only" 31 years old. Darn Hemi question got me pretty good, could've sworn it came out as an industrial engine in the late 40's and then used in the cars in the 50's. Guess I was wrong.
