no disrespect. I have built engs for a long time, first were olds,then chevy, then ford.Never have i lost a bearing or oil pump. I scuffed one piston in a 645 hp dyno run with a 351 w. bent a valve in a 8000 rpm 302 drag motor from a missed shift. I take undue care on assy.Like in a hospital. Is it luck, or just attention to detail? I am there on first start up, and don't take any bs about what to do.Its probably luck. Having said that I might go buy a lottery ticket. lol. OBTW, never built a bbc.
