It doesn't say whether it's for a Cleveland or a Windsor!!! I emailed him to find out. Guess it doesn't really matter, I could use one of each!!!!! Anyway, 23 hours to go, and I have the bid on it right now....Do you want to PM me what you would go for the tank bottom so I know how high to go for the rest of it, Pat????

Got your PM, we'll make something work if the bidding doesn't get too stupid on it!!! What size is your tank? Do you just need the bottom, or do you want the Heater? I think I have another one out at the farm that I got at a swap meet years back. It was in a car that crashed, big dent in the top... Think it was a Peterson, too. I bought it so I would have a spare strainer and clamp....then never needed it so I think it's laying out there someplace!!!!!:LOL: :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

the bottom look good so i was going to wait and buy a used upper tank for it yes with that all alum engine i wanted the heater unit i have time on my side i have seen them on e-bay but this one looks good? i hear what you are saying about a small oil tank but i think the peterson is the best way to go ? you can get in it and clean it out some of the other ones i have seen are all welded up with a small filler cap

There is some reason to be skeptical about this. Assuming your chances of not having any valve train or other issues affecting the valve train in 500consecutive builds is 99.9%, the chances of the 501 consecutive build not having an issue is only 60.6%.

I guess numerically it could happen or not depending on the parts etc. But given what I see and hear about this today with materials and oils etc I would be willing to bet the odds are not even this good.

I'm not trying to make a point here, just looking at it numerically .........
