Kewl!!! Just got my pump back from Barnes last week, sent it in for a check and rebuild... I have a tank and lines, still need a 351W pan......Not sure who's I want to buy,,,or maybe fab up an aluminum one???? Trying to get the engine as low as possible in the Ranchero, losing that big long oil pump and dual sump pan frees up a lot of room!!!!! Any thoughts on a dry sump pan for it? Who's do you use, Pat????Quote:

that e-bay number is on my post i if that pan works for you? let me know i would like to get the tank bottom but do not need the ford pan?
It doesn't say whether it's for a Cleveland or a Windsor!!! I emailed him to find out. Guess it doesn't really matter, I could use one of each!!!!! Anyway, 23 hours to go, and I have the bid on it right now....Do you want to PM me what you would go for the tank bottom so I know how high to go for the rest of it, Pat????
i pm you on it dave
Got your PM, we'll make something work if the bidding doesn't get too stupid on it!!! What size is your tank? Do you just need the bottom, or do you want the Heater? I think I have another one out at the farm that I got at a swap meet years back. It was in a car that crashed, big dent in the top... Think it was a Peterson, too. I bought it so I would have a spare strainer and clamp....then never needed it so I think it's laying out there someplace!!!!!
the bottom look good so i was going to wait and buy a used upper tank for it yes with that all alum engine i wanted the heater unit i have time on my side i have seen them on e-bay but this one looks good? i hear what you are saying about a small oil tank but i think the peterson is the best way to go ? you can get in it and clean it out some of the other ones i have seen are all welded up with a small filler cap

Denny, I hope your time away with the 2 RoadRunners accomplished what you wanted and needed. So when you going to start on your truck now that you remember how to paint.?
BTW, good to have you back. Being a lifetime learner is difficult when any of the CHR brain trust takes a vacation.:D
There is some reason to be skeptical about this. Assuming your chances of not having any valve train or other issues affecting the valve train in 500consecutive builds is 99.9%, the chances of the 501 consecutive build not having an issue is only 60.6%.Quote:

I'm not trying to make a point here, just looking at it numerically .........
