I think it was Roger who mentioned putting the 348 in my 82 Z28 also

The difference is the 4.6 is still a good motor, Maybe the 348 is too but not for me.
He's right on the motor swap, a decision had to be mad fast and it well well. One scratch of paint in the engine compartment was the only damage. It was still the best thing I did to the pickup. I was pretty green on the Ls motors at the time and I thought the LS1 was the 5.3, they are not so I have a 5.3, not an LS1.
