Getting a little impatient
Last Primer Coat, we hope is going on tomorrow. Reinforcing around the headlights and side skirts. Getting closer to paint.

It's getting close !!!!!
Yes-it is.. how many weeks has it been?
About 12 weeks but I purposely held it down for several for budget reasons. Got the final primer coat on today. I am pleased with the alignment and the seams. They look very good. Also, we corrected a number of structurally weak areas that i would not have caught had I done this on my own. This included a weakness in the trunk that we fixed by adding a false compartment. The back edge of the trunk was so weak it would flex and not allow the latch to catch. We took care of that as well as a weakness along the front engine compartment skirts where the lights mounted. The was a lot of work getting the nose piece to align with the grill. Next paint will be the color.

So today they finished the roof and fenders. We will have it painted inside a week.

It's looking a lot closer! Do they let you go over and work on it too?
The original plan was that I would do the final sanding. There was so much going on structurally I've had to back out and let them lead. I have learned a ton from it though. I stay pretty close to them as they move it forward.
So looks like they are going to paint tomorrow

So the guys are cutting and jambing. Doing the inside of the roof, underside of hood, underside of trunk, inside of doors and the edges. The nose cone is a fair representation of what it will have as the final color.
