That thing needs dropped down a bunch so parts are easier to load and unload. Nice work on the van.

In the back for sure; I had the rear springs re-arched as one side was sagging but when I got them back and installed them, its way up in the back. May have to pull them back off and take them back to the spring shop for an adjustment.

Here comes the air bag suspension, That will be nice to drop the back to gain some traction for the Hellcat motor at the strip

Nah, I’m thinking like a mid engine V12 Falconer aircraft engine with 4 turbos mated to a ZR1 transaxle, 6 piston 4 wheel discs, and full air ride. I’ll get right on that.

You'll need lots of traction to handle that torque. Maybe plan to install a second axle. After all it's just a quickie project, right?

Yep, just a quickie. Maybe an all wheel drive setup while I’m at it. And a cool sounding stereo for listening to Cardinal baseball.

Got through all the major door repairs; now just going back through each one and fixing some details along with checking the fit. Hinges were rusted, bolts broken, and the pins didn’t want to move so I took them all apart, fixed all the issues and getting the ready to paint.

Lookin great, and a super interesting project Falcon! I used to have a Ford van, can't remember a lot of the things that happened in it, but it must have been fun!!!!

Thanks Dave; I can only imagine what you had going on in the back of your van! Probably more than a few lovely ladies out there who could jog your memory!
I started painting the inside with some primer sealer this week; I’m going to get the inside and jambs painted, hang the doors, and then get the outside ready.

I want your energy! Great work and progress in such a short time.
Had to add your quote from your first post on the van, "Plans are pretty minimal for this one; leave it stock, get it mechanically right, and drive it while I do some bodywork on it. Maybe use it for next year's Power Tour cruiser. Just your basic old school slant six/three on the tree."
I'd hate to see your idea of body off resto! LOL !

I'd say he stuck to his original plan pretty close so far. Only difference is that he's fixing the rust all at once instead of a little at a time.

Yeah; when it’s as bad as this thing turned out to be; the only thing that makes sense is fix it all at once. Sure didn’t want to tear it down twice.

I'm just teasing him! His work is awesome. I was emphasizing the "pretty minimal part" For some of us that would be use a rubbing compound, buff and wax....done! Falcon has a higher set of standards...that's a goooood thing!

I've started many a project with the idea in mind that the work will be minimal.....never turns out that way for me!!!!! lol

I've discovered that projects have to sit and be ignored for awhile just so they get "seasoned" properly! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!!!
