    1952 Buick Riviera

     



    25348.jpgthe trunk has been separately sectioned 5 and a half inches and the custom detail added as well. 20384.jpgeveryone picks this up right away, but 59 Chevy dash fitted into the Buick dash frame. The Chevy dash was cut 8 inches out of the center in order for it to fit inside the. Buick frame. It is also a good view of the custom fab trans tunnel, floor,and slants. 36823.jpgobvioulsy the 454 bored 30 over port matched heads and rebuilt internals. Pretty much the whole nine. 26507.jpgfront fender waiting in sheet metal with the custom fab vents26005.jpgthis is the trunk all Done in body filler waiting for primer.


    we have a 1952 Buick Riviera. The frame has been sand blasted epoxy primed and sprayed with chassis black and then totally rebuilt with 2 way adjustable coil overs, 4 link auspension, drilled and slotted 4 wheel power disk breaks, stainless steel break lines, stainless steel custom fab exhaust with Flowmasters, and brand new Ford 12 bolt posi rear recieving its power from a built 30 over 454 wildcat v8. The body has been fitted with custom fab 59 Caddy tails, custom fab rear trunk and front fenders detail, custom fab Functional cowl induction hood, the convertible top has been chopped three inches, and the body widened 3 and a half inches on each side.

    32142.jpgthese are twin jaguar style gas doors, matching one on each side going to dual 16 gallon tanks inline, so both fill up from either inlet.34090.jpeg Here we have the beginnings of the cowl induction hood in sheet metal, and the hole for the hood ornament still exposed.38056.jpegthis is the cowl induction in transtar self etch primer sprayed from an I watt 1.8 prime gun. It built up really nice which was surprising for me to see from a self etch.38064.jpgdisplayed here are the stock wheel wells from the 52 Rivvy as well as a good view of 59 caddy tails.

    Hard to take pictures of the chassis and 4 link as I didn't have a phone during the chassis building phase of this particular build

    Under side of the Buick hood, wire brush nicely make sure to get the crevices and por right over the surface rust. Comes out excellent

    Seriously though, you have done a heap of excellent work on that beauty and as for the engine, so desirable I would mortgage the local suburb to have that baby powering the T Roadster.

    Hahah super close! They are actually the ones from the 56 sedan delivery but hell they are the same.. Well actually we measured them and the nomad was 4 inches longer lol. I'd say you still deserve some type of prize tho!

    So I really liked the idea of writing little comments under each picture to tell you guys a little bit about what's going on but unfortunately from my iPad for some reason it won't let me insert the photos any other way but that's alright. Here we have the wheel wells of a 1952 Buick riviera that have been replaced with that of a 56 Chevy sedan delivery, on the very edge of the wheel wells lays 3/8 inch break tubing to continue and exxagarate the roll of the 56 wells. At this stage it has been through its first coat of fiberglass body filler and sanded down with 80 grit on a DA, which is my preference although others use 36 or 40 I hate trying to get all those sand scratches out. Thanks for taking the time to read. Hope you are enjoying the build as much as I am!

    At first my eye said, "Seriously?", but those '56 wheelwell openings really compliment the contours of the quarter! They look GREAT!

    On your pictures you might try this. After you upload your photo files and initial text hit the "Preview Post" button and it will show you how it's going to look, but even better in the "Text Box" you will see each photo file listed. You can very easily insert spaces between the photo's, and cut & paste text, or enter new text above or below each photo. It's really pretty slick, once you do it once. You can even do it in the "Edit Post" mode, going back to "fix" the order of photos, or adding text. Hope this helps!

    Thank you much for the kind words! To me they broke up the flat quarter panel really well, we really weren't sure how people were going to respond to them tho, glad you think they're cool!!

    As far as the post goes.. No I didn't realize you could do that at all, I will go back and edit these, wicked cool that you can put them in a new order, when I upload them they just add randomly lol so that will be wicked. Thank you much for the help, really do appreciate that.
