The new V spreader bar is on and so is the bug screen. Now all I need to do is relocate those ugly chrome horns. The better half and I took the header panel down and started to chase some of those electrical gremlins. Working our way to the power windows that all of a sudden, don't want to work. Got power to the switch and now all the way back to the door shots but we lose it going into the door. They had butt connectors just pushed over the terminals in the shots in the B pillar and they just fell off. I Had to fish wires out of the B pillar with tweezers. I made electrical connections and installed them with nuts and shrink tube. These are never coming off now.

Then with the help of my better half we spent about 4-5 hours taking apart the 32's steering column to fix the loose joint. We also were starting to have trouble with the key sticking and it wouldn't start at a show this weekend. After watching a couple youtube video's as a reference we had it all fixed and it was test drive time! I couldn't have done it without my sweetie. Oh and my daughter lent a finger to hold the signal box in place as I slid it back together. I love my hot rodding family.

nice work.
Nice to hear you're getting the bugs worked out. It's also cool to hear your whole family gets into it. The new parts look nice on there!
Went to the 100% Kulture car show the other day and had a blast! Caught up with my old friend Doug. My kid dressed up like Rosie the riveter and had fun standing by all the cars modeling for us.

Looks like a great show, your daughter looks to fit right in with the car culture show. I love it when people dress up for shows, makes it even more fun! Looks like a great time was had by all.
The only time better than hot roddin' with my son is hot roddin' with one of my girls! Thanks for sharing the awesome pictures - you've got a real keeper there.

Very nice Jim! Your daughter looks really nice and looks to enjoy it!
Okay, I will have to ask the hard question here and, no, it isn't about Trump. If your good looking daughter is riding shootgun, your wife driving her car ( one gorgeous '32 3 window Coupe ) did you fold yourself up in the trunk to get into the show ??? Just asking you know....wink wink
Hell son, I couldn't fit in the trunk of a 59 Impala (without the spare tire)! For right now I'm driving the 2002 Impala daily driver as a chase vehicle with my boy riding shotgun to the show then they switch off and my boy rides shotgun with Mom for the ride home. Keeps it fair for the kids. Hoping to soon have my car done so we can go in two hot rods. This would be a life long dream of mine.
Me talking to Wayne Carini at a car show. http://images15.fotki.com/v1631/phot...55603_n-vi.jpg
Oh, so I was so wrong in thinking you had left Mother home attached to the kitchen sink preparing supper while you and Daughter went cruising in Mothers Coupe. I will give myself twenty good lashings with a wet tissue as punishment for my indiscretions....
Yes, we will be keen to see the progress on the '34 Tudor as I'm sure it will be to the same high standard as the Coupe and as the saying goes, the family that play together stay together with love.
Clearly you don't know my family! :) Let me introduce my wife...

Pulling the old 4 banger out of the 34 and putting in the posi gears in my ford 8". Yeah no manicured fingernails in this house.

And a shot of us rebuilding a 327 for our old 34 coupe.

And on to my daughter Amber...
Always handy for lending an extra hand (and a finger) when needed. Countless times flipping frames and lifting bodies but most time just getting into places the old man can't get into any more. She is also my swap meet buddy.

Now my son; well he is a special needs child and although tries to help, we are content knowing he isn't getting into trouble or worse getting hurt. He is good for grabbing a jack or discussing the finer points of wheels and tires (his favorite things in the whole world).

And as always I'm their number one fan.

Saturday was an exciting day. We went to the Rumble in the country car show and had a blast. My kid Amber once again dressed up in her best rockabilly attire and nailed the look. When she got to the show in the wife's car, the guy at the gate liked it so much he let her in for free! He took one look at her and said "How old are you?" They explained that her 18th birthday was yesterday and he replied "well because it's your birthday and you dressed up so nice for our show you can go in for free". Then we had a couple items for sale out front of the car and sold about $130 worth of it so that more than paid for the day. We met up with a ton of old friends and they were all happy to see our 15 year hiatus was over and we are starting to enjoy the shows again. Even a couple people on the HAMB stopped in to ask about the 34 sedan's progress and I told them I've been kinda stalled on the project. With their encouragement I came home today and fixed the bushing on the new coilover shock and got those installed. Then I took the car off the jackstands that it has been on for months so she is back on her wheels again. We have a major garage overhaul/reorganization going on Sunday it's gonna be huge and time consuming. But it will all be worth it in the end. Pictures or it didn't happen.
