I have a 91 Chevy Silverado and I just put a crate 350 in it a month ago I drove it for 2 days open headers and decided to put mufflers back on it and after I put them on I have no spark at the plugs I have changed ever part in the distributor the pick up the coil, module, rotor button, cap, coil, and the resistor its a hei distributor the only thing I unhooked was the trans lines only thing I could think is the line could of been grounding the motor to frame and letting it fire no their not any advice on what could of went wrong and yes I have ran a wire from battary to coil still no fire
Robert, while it is possible that the trans lines were the only thing completing a ground, I suspect that you unknowingly disconnected a ground strap or wire. Here's what I would do, the same thing I have done on most new rides that I have purchased.....
Purchase 2 new ground straps from your local auto parts store....

You want to use one of the straps to connect the body to the frame and the other to connect the frame to the motor.
I have always ground down to bare metal with a 4" hand grinder. Drill a pilot hole in the firewall and one on an engine bracket and use self-tapping sheet metal screws for one strap, then drill the frame or frame member to connect the other strap to either the motor or the body. Now you will have the frame grounded to the motor and the body, the motor grounded to the frame and the body and the body grounded to the motor and the frame. There are many different lengths of straps, so measure where you will run your straps before you go to buy them.
My apologies to Ben for hijacking his thread. :o

Welcome robertambrose20, and congrats on your first post!
Unfortunately, you have posted into someone else's thread and your question may not get the attention it deserves. While your problem could be a ground issue, I suspect a burned wire or a tach failure causing your greif. Try disconnecting the tach wire and see if it fires.
And, may I suggest you start a new thread for your question, it will get a lot more attention...
What he said.
I would suggest you repost here:

Nobody's snarling at you, if you're unfamiliar with the site it can be hard to find your way around. But you'll get used to it!
Welcome to CHR...enjoy your time here...there's a lot of helpful and knowledgeable people on here who would be only too keen to be of assistance.
Quick update on the V8 Micro Truck. I have been driving it quite a bit and it is definitely an adrenalin machine. It actually has excellent traction, so sadly not a tire roaster, but more than makes up for it in acceleration. With the 66" wheelbase and 48" track, it is quite a handful. Currently working on an engine cover made of aluminum treadplate so that it will look like a toolbox in the bed. The plan is to paint it white and maybe even bend up a ladder rack for the bed to further the sleeper image.

looking good
That big tall air filter makes me grin. That has always been one of my pet peeves, not enough air filter element area for the cubic inches. Excellent work dude. :3dSMILE::3dSMILE::3dSMILE:

i took note from your playbook Tech on airfilter breathing for my 460. Always nice to get good advice
I have a theory with air filters, if you can't hear the carb hum it's probably too small...

funny...
Maybe you needed more coffee?
Added a transmission to the Tiny Truck of Terror and made to Cab and Bed tilt for easy engine access.

Still a bit of photo manipulation here but it is close to this in reality

Very creative with the tilt function.
I really like the tire / wheel combo. Is that part of the photoshop?
Thanks! No, the only photoshop part is filling the gap between the bed and cab (the part covering the exposed bed rails)
It's looking very nice! The hydraulic bed is a nice touch and will make things a lot easier for ya!
.
Nice work! That made easy access to most everything in a hurry!
You sure do build some crazy cool stuff. That is a lot of engineering to fit the exhaust and cooling system. Very different, I like it.
First class stuff Ben. :3dSMILE:

Cool stuff. I forgot all about this build.. I actually got a stock 1992 Suzuki Carry last year which has been my daily driver. I have a Subaru EJ205 ( 2.0L turbocharged )with a trans that will fit between the rails under the seat. 45hp- 250hp. I've thought about it but it's too much fun to drive, even being not the fastest..
I'll put this here for reference what a stock one of these looks like. I did put new wheels on it since 12" snow tires don't exist in North America anymore. Now uses the smallest 14" tire available in North America.. Basically they are tiny. 1,500 lbs in stock form
My friend with the turbo charged ls powered datsun 510 wagon stopped by today in his "normal" sized service body truck
