Rear seat would benefit from a short pedestal, so the passenger can see over the driver's head.
Another interesting point: since you are using all car parts, when you are done it should still be legally a car, with same vin- so no helmets required?.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
