The steel / timber / chemical / cloth et cetera manufacturers want to sell their products, the manufacturers of all sorts of knobby bits and pieces want to sell their products, the shopkeepers want to sell anyone's products, the transport people want to carry anyone's products to anywhere, and Joe Bloggs is desperate to buy the products he desires or needs.

And it's not there.

Where has it all gone wrong?
jb, I'll email you a link or two about the shipping/supply side crisis that are interesting.

Getting back to the never ending build, I think I've come to a decision on the door panel layout, which is really the focal point of the interior.

If I can get the foam padding to work the top will get a 3" wide strip to raise the edge, then down a bit I'll cut an arc of black walnut as an accent, with a layer of thinner foam below. The pocket will be below and forward of the seat. I think I'm going to use this type of pocket, if I can make it work.

Thinking I may put another piece of walnut as an accent across the back behind the seats, but it won't be seen much. I guess I'm not in a big rush since it's not gonna be roadster weather for a good while yet....
