    Thanks man,
Yeah I will have to live with that tire for a little while, but at least I know what I want when the time comes.

No idea of what their design goals are, no info on fender clearances, offsets, any of the other important info....as if there's some magic one size fits all formula out there for modified vehicles. Love what you do.
Thanks man, I research everything and measure and check fitment 24 times before I fabricate or buy something. I'm nutty that way.lol

Bam, I've been following this thread with great interest and have told you before that it's a great job.
I don't remember you mentioning the bench seat. Is it from another truck, or is it a great upholstery job on the original?
I've got a '57 Chevy P/U project on hold while I finish a couple of other projects but I like planning ahead.
I've noticed the price on new aftermarket bucket seats gettin a bit lower but I'm inclined to leave it bench seat.

Thanks man I really appreciate it. About the seat, its a 1988-1995 Chevy Truck beach seat with arm rest. I wanted that seat since I started the project but I could not find one in my area. I saw one of my online buddy's at a car show and told him I could not find the seat that was in his truck in my area and he told me he would find me one and ship it to me at cost. Networking really works.

Hey, I thought that seat looked familiar, I used to own an '89 GMC. I would have thought it was too wide for the '57 cab. Thanks for the tip, it's got to be more comfortable than the original, looks like I may go junkyard hunting for one.

It fits like it was made for the 55-59 Cab. The mounts fits right between the two humps in the floor, drill 4 new holes and your bench seat is ready to go.

Hey Bam nice job! I just went back to the beginning you've done a ton of stuff in a short period of time. I was wondering if you have a few more shots of the bench seat, showing the arm rest, and maybe a width measurement? Thinking of maybe getting one for my 48 Ford. Thanks

Here is a pic of the seat. I chop down the mounts because I have a big back window truck and its my pet peeve to see the seats sticking up through the back window of the truck. If I had a standard cab (small window) I probably would have not chop the mounts.

I will get the width for you later but it fits well in my truck.

Here is a pic of my neighbors 49 Ford Truck that he change the grill on. He has a Camaro Clip, Corvette IRS, and 351 Cleveland.

Hey Bam, Thanks for the informative post. One more question, what are your seatbelt/shoulder harness plans?

I'm simply going to run retractable lap seat belts.

Yes another change.lol I keep looking at my 55 hood and my 58 hood and thought it would look good if I grafted the 58 hood onto the 55 hood.

Mocked up to see how it would flow.

    Welding it in.

Yes! I did that years ago on my first pickup and you are right no one noticed.
But I knew that it was just right and helped the look of the truck. Good Job!
