I've been trying to think of a way to build a air box to have the coolest air possible and found a air box that is exactly what I was thinking of building. It took a simple mod but I i did not have to make a box, which saved me a lot of time.

Nice! The LS filter can be kind of ugly, that looks goo. Is that shroud sealed to the cone filter or is it more there to direct cool air in? You might need a splash guard on the intake hole if you drive it in the rain.

That is round air box the cone filter is inside. I've already made a cover for it out of a drain cover from home depot.lol I was more concern with debris , because this truck will never see rain. If it does it is only to get home, it is a fair weather friend.

It looks perfect there and you just answered the question I had. I was also wondering about rain water getting kicked up from your wheel. As beautiful as you pickup is looking I was thinking it wouldn't see much bad weather.

Well I’m finally getting this thing to look like a something. I got the complete dog house install, along with the headlights and turn signals, and an engine cover (I think it’s temporary until I have time to fab something). I also started wet sanding the fenders.

The wifey said the truck was way too loud.lol She will be in it with me and I want her comfortable so I had to compromise. I installed new mufflers. The were cheap but got go reviews. So for the price I tried them. They are Jones Exhaust Max Air Flows.

Heres what the truck sounds like now

I bought some Jones stainless magnaflow looking mufflers on Amazon really cheap, haven't heard them yet but they look pretty good.

Your truck is really coming together now, looks super nice.

I expect the audio doesn't do it justice, but if she's happy then great.

I just got a nice idea for exhaust which I'll share while it's on my mind. An X crossover which terminates on both sides of the mufflers, with a cut off valve in the middle.

With valve closed, quiet and a marginally power loss.

Open the valve, and power boost plus LOUD AS HELL.

Best applied when passing the bloke who has been going five miles under the speed limit, and speeds up at the passing lane.

    Those clowns drive me nuts!
I followed two camper vans across the Himitangi plains a few years back. they were driving nose to tail; so I had to pass both at once.
We were in a 100 kph zone, (60 mph) they were up to 100, down to 70, up to 90, down to 70...I was driving a four cylinder manual and was up to 5th, down to 4th, up to 5th, then down again...
I finally got to pass them at the passing lane north of Bulls...and they were both doing 100 kph.
A cop came over the top of the hill and pinged me at 116 kph.
I got a ticket that cost me $140.
I told the cop the story, he just shook his head and said, "I didn't see that. I can show you the figures in the machine if you want, they weren't going over the limit; they were bang on it. You weren't"
    Bastards.
