I welded up all the interior seams and grind them smooth to give it that smooth and finished look that was lacking from the factory. I got it in primer and now it needs to be blocked sanded. I'm happy with the look so far. It was a lot of work but I've been told many times that the devil is in the details.

    More smoothing seams.

That's some quality craftsmanship, it's hard to even spot all the little changes you made but they make such a difference. Keep up the great work!

You've done such an amazing amount of small custom touches that no-one will ever see them all.. but they'll stand there and know something is different but not exactly what!

You've done a lot of awesome work and thanks for making the time to share all the pics!

Whats up Wayne? I did not make it out to the GNRS this year I've been so busy lately. It would have been great to meet up with you again.

I don't get much truck time lately but hey that should change.

Took me some time to go slowly through all of the photos and descriptions. I envy your metal working skills, and your eye for the right "look" to make the modifications those invisible "head scratchers" where a guy knows it's not OEM, but can't decide what's different. Looking forward to the next installment on the build!! Thanks for taking time to post!

Thanks and I hope you are right that is what I tried to do. I like cars when the mods are not so obvious and you notice something new each time you look at them. I hope I am doing that.

Thanks man, like I said above I really try to make things not so obvious and very subtle. Other than the dash mod I think I've done that. I wanted mods that only guys that have these trucks would notice.

So thanks I really enjoy the feed back because it lets me know I'm on my way to accomplishing my goals with the truck.

All of us that work on these old relics are not afraid of challenge.lol Kudos to all of us here who post pics, build threads or simply provide an answer to questions asked here. Also the people who post questions and the newbie who are looking for encouragement. I've learn just as much from questions as I have from answers. The net has been a great resource and provides great networking for all of us who are involved in this hobby. Its hard work and I take my hat off to all of you.
