Looks good Charlie
Spent a couple hours out there today (Uninterrupted) got quit a bit done.:D
Glad to hear you got it running Charlie! The rust repair looks great as well!
Spent some time in the shop again today. Cab back on I have not tightened anything down yet still have to align things. I have another project coming Tue. to help pay for this one a 66 Mustang that doesn't run. That should be fun.
Good progress Charlie! Should be a nice break working on an old Mustang, anyway!
Looks good Charlie! Have fun with the Mustang!
Charlie..I had to go back to the beginning,,and read right through the whole process again.. That's looking real nice,man.. Awesome job on the cab,too..Have you thought about a color, yet??Yup,,and like the 4sp as well.. Kool.. I did a minor rebuild a few years back,on a early 80's Chev truck,,and the same places,of course.. ;) Bottom cab corners.. ;)
HELP!!! There is a rod with a pin and clip that goes between the brake pedal and the booster bracket. I haven't been able to locate one...Anyone have one?? Want to sell it?? 71 & 72 are the same Thanks
Charlie, I might have one. I'll check out my extra pedal assemblies and see.
Cool I found the pin and clip but not the rod.
If I ever find that pile I'll be sure to put it where I'll know where its at the next time.:LOL::LOL:
I haven't found an extra rod yet but I'll keep looking as I'm sure I have one some where.
You didn't find my set of keys in there didja Charlie?!?!?! rofl...
Located the brake adjuster rod in Al. its on its way. Now its back to the clutch linkage, thought that was done but not lining up the way I want..
Been working on other projects but did get the clutch linkage done. Got my wheels and tires. I could not locate center caps to match as the wheel centers on each pair differ **). Soooo I came up with the only real solution to my problem USE Chevy center caps :3dSMILE:. I think they look good. I may have the wheels powder coated black but I think I'll wait and see how they look on the truck once its together and painted.
Those'll work good Charlie. Should"fit" the truck well.
Nice wheels and I think the caps look good on them as well!
I need something like that for my Ford!
Looking good,,Charlie..Just had to re acquaint myself with the last post I made.. hehe.. I like it.. coming along real well..
Since I been gone awhile here's a bit of what I have been doing . Total frame off relocated gas tank everything new. Should be painting in a week or so :3dSMILE:
Good to see you here again. Trucks lookin' good too.
Great work Charlie! Nice to see you back on and posting here again too!
Put color on entire truck today. Getting ready to add the black
Looking good there Charlie, almost time for some ice cream!
Thought I posted pictures of this but don't see them I've been driving it about a month now. Wish I'd put an O/D trans in it, it tends to DRINK GAS, My foot being up by the fan would have nothing to do with it, RIGHT.
Wouldn't have worked Charlie. The cam you're runnin' makes power from about 3000 to 6600. Most overdrive trans systems rev the motor to around 2000 at cruise. The motor would be under the operating range of the cam by about 1000 rpm's at cruise and fuel mileage would likely be worse than what you're experiencing now. AND....power at 2000 rpm's would be horrid. Think about it, you'll never see a factory overdrive transmission used with a hotrod cam.
.
Lookin' good there Charlie! What's it say on the tailgate????
Looks like it says Jesus saves
Very nice work Charlie!
