Amazing job on your truck. It has turned out beautifully!
Thanks, Just installed a serpentine belt system (Vintage Air) vice the 3 belt system. a lot cleaner look but it's very tight between rad and fan. I'll post a pic later. I wish I was smart enough to understand all the EFI stuff with the Holley Sniper I have installed. It runs ok but I know it could be better.
After my initial sniper install I took it to an experienced tuner. Over the Holley learned tune we picked up over 50 rear wheel horsepower and about 2 mpg. One of the biggest improvements I had made on my own was rechecking the tune setup program where I found several parameters were not right. Nothing beats building it from the ground up.
Have you tried their tech service offerings? They have a online group and I know they have good call center. Even if you just called them to say, "Hey' I need some help with this" I'm sure they can give you some tips. I think RSpears had some good results from his interactions with a call center. Consider giving it a try.
My experience was with Edelbrock, in their early days of DIY EFI and they were great, very helpful! I've heard mixed reviews on experiences with Holly & the Sniper, seems some love it and some not so much. I'd agree, if you can find a really good tuner in your area they can help dial in the maps and getting your base parameters for the self learn defined right.
here's a pic of the new serpentine system, much nicer then the 3 belt I had. Still working on some small rattles and tightening up a few bolts as I put miles on it. yup the pic sucks, it was to be a video but I didn't do something right. I'll try again. Well after several attempts to post a video I give up, heck you all know what the thing looks like anyhow. Have a great week everybody!

As I put miles on the truck I've been able to find and fix the noises that come with the bumps in the road, Got the air ride dailed in to a smooth ride, But I have one noise that is way louder than I like, Its the fuel pump. I mounted the pump on the frame rail just behind the cab. Used the mount that came in the kit for the sniper EFI. Rubber mounted with 4ea. 10-32 bolts into frame.
Its 60+ psi pump required for the EFI. Has anyone had the same noise issue with frame rail mounted pump ? I'm thinking the only good fix is to put a pump in the tank. My tank has one hole for the sending unit. Does anybody make a EFI tank fuel pump with sending unit combo for a one holer ?
Hope everyones New Year is great so far !
You could mount the pump further back, away from the cab, but the noise will still be there. Just a bit quieter. Putting the pump in the tank will also help the pump run cooler in addition to being quieter. I don't have an ideal part number to offer but I am sure it wouldn't take much searching to find an acceptable pump/sending unit part that fits. Who's tank did you use? Maybe see if they offer a combo unit?
Navy,
I Googled "Combination EFI fuel pump and level sensor" and got a bunch of hits. Appears that GM used a combo unit on their trucks. One hit that looked promising was from Holley, here's the link - https://www.holley.com/blog/post/how...l_pump_module/
You might give the Holley tech line a call and see if they have any good ideas.
On your noise problem, you say yours has 4x10-32 bolts into the frame. Are the rubber isolators both below and above the pump base and shouldered through the hole so that your bolts don't contact the metal pump base at all? Just thinking that some pumps give you a rubber washer to put under the base, but the bolt is riding on the base plate and transmits the pump vibrations to the frame.
It shouldn't be a problem as you're not working on a darn old MOPAR or Import (say a Doge Ram 50 made by Mitsubishi) but just to be safe you might want to check the ohms and polarity on the new sending unit that comes with the pump (if you go that way) to make sure it's compatible with your gauge.
First hand experience
.
I'd suggest something like these only in aluminum with rubber grommets at both ends.

Thanks for the input guys. I've looking at a bunch of fuel pump sender ect. stuff. Got to remove the bed to get to the tank so I'm not hurrying to get this done. Its 37 degrees out so that really gives me lots of time to search the net . Thanks again.
Recent upgrade I did to the Lights and wiper knobs. Had a Aluminon light knob and a black plastic wiper knob and didn't like the look so I turned 2 new ones and I think they look way better IMHO.
