That rack looks excellent on the back there and I would tend to leave it there as a feature. Yes the old girl put up a bit of a fight but soon laid down it's arms in surrender. Sounds better good for a unit that has sat for so long.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

She starts up now nicely,but still smokes,may clear up after running for longer time or not we'll see..
The 2bbl intake and carb that I had put on to get the 292 to run,was not excatly as good as said by the guy I got it from,but I'm sure he didn't know that who ever had rebuilt the 2bbl carb,had left out the check ball under the booster screw=thats why carb was working funny. Even funnyer is I found the ball just raddeling around in exc.pump housing,and yes the other ball was in place as it should be behind the pump. got the body mounted and bolted down to frame,adjusted doors,added footboard to back of firewall,and worked on windsheild stanions,over weekend.
