Wow, hard to believe that's 62 year old sheetmetal. That old truck must have been fairly well taken care of.

I found it in tall grass behind a small engine shop in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan. The guy told me that the truck had been siting there for at least 6-7 years. Dont know anything prior.

It was the good ol' lead base paints they had back then I think protected it really well all these years.......LMAO

Should be a nice front graft. Those crown vics are used as police cars around here, I wonder if it's the same as the Mercury marauders?

I just did some reading about the merauder and they say that it used the panther platform like the CV and GM and the lincoln......My apologies for the miss information. The Merauder was the high performance version of the CV sharing the Mustang Mach 1 engine and drive train with upgraded braking system. Its said to be the rarest of the panther platform built cars.

No problem, I just think the Marauders are pretty cool looking rides that have that sleeper look, but haul @$$. Might be the perfect family car!

Here's what the front piece looks like.

I did a quick mock up jus to see how the tire sits.
The cradle is not quite sitting on the frame due to the centering pin that is about 1 inch tall. Plus once the weight of the motor and drivetrain and body is on. the suspension should compress between 2-3 inches and settle at ride height. The tire also is not too sunk in to the fender...... hub to hub will be about 61-62 inches in width.

I finally came down to a draft for the rear half of the frame.
Im going to have them CNC plasma cut so that I have both inner and outer frame rails exactly the same except where the tab is on the outer frame rail.

    Looks good.

Just change the 22.5* to 112.5* (22.5 + 90) and your drwg is good to go.

You mean at the bottom of the rail before it goes upward?

Just the highlighted 22.5* should read 112.5*.
I'm sure whoever sets up for the plasma cutting would catch this.

Your interior angles on the frame rails are labeled 22.5 degrees, but are 90 degrees plus 22.5 degrees, or 112.5 degrees.
