Really looks great going together! Going to be way to nice to drive!

The detail that you have accomplished is amazing and I just noticed something else that I had missed in other photo's, the way the bottom of the engine mount is done to allow the steering rod to pass through it, simple but beautiful.

Seeing those photos - did you put gear oil in that differential yet? I would like to suggest that you do if not as I found that using the crush washers on new studs (mine ordered from Currie and torqued to the highest recommended lb ft) wont guarantee oil wont ooze down the stud threads and stain that beautiful paint.

Dave's got a great eye for detail! I had the same problem and called the guys at Just Rear Ends to ask about it. Their first question was "Did you use a layer of black silicone on the face joint?" When I told them I used the paper gasket they supplied plus the crush washers they said that those "...come from the housing supplier, and we never use them." On the Jeeps, which get their differential fluid changed more often due to water crossings, we always just use a layer of black silicone, no crush washers.

Roger - I used the gold HT silicone, not the black. It's 'purported' to be more oil resistant. Also used the washers ---- well, just because ........

A little tip about the rear ends leaking grease from the studs------the newer greases are much different than the old style lubes and will get in/thru a much smaller area---the leak happens thru the space in the threads of the studs--sealer on the threads(like a pipe fitting) or a nut that is capped (some nice ss ones out there) will stop the leak------

no i didnt tighten nuts yet and havent put oil in it yet will wait for awhile to put oil in i bought a new felpro gasker for it.

I am glad i stayed with this color wanted an antique color and just love this shade of green sure like it better than the color of primer lol.
