You are good!!!!!!!!!!
Hi guys, thank you for the very kind comments they are appreciated, Its taking a lot longer than i thought it would due to having to polish everything twice :( Its really difficult working on it and not marking it in someway
I think once the chassis is done progress will be a lot quicker :)
I welcome constructive crititism so if you see anything that looks wrong or could be done better let me know as nobody knows it all
best wishes
Steve.
Steve this is truely amazing! The stainless looks fantastic. Your welds are something to drool over! This will be one of those high level builds that inspire us all to strive for more. Like Don said you need to meet up with Ken Thurm out here on the west coast you both have an eye for the most minor detail.
Wow man truly amazing work, great job!
And to Evolvo;
Wal-Mart, where we go to buy what we used to make!
AMEN to that!!!
Thanks mate, Its surprising that it hasn't cost that much so far, the most expensive part so far was the 4" x 2" box, it cost me £90 plus an extra £20 to have it polished by a machine at the stockist's.
The rest is basically all from offcuts i get from my local steel merchants, I usually raid their scrap bin for large lumps of stainless and all they want is me to top up their tea fund, i guess it only goes for scrap value anyway.
I'm not wealthy so to keep the costs down i do all the basic polishing and only give the difficult bits to my polishing friend who is real good to me anyways.
I'm lucky that i can do everything myself excluding trimming (although i may have a go myself this time) so its only costing me time.
Its not a budget build but not mega bucks either.
Cheers

Hehe, Steve, I just noticed something that I had never given any thought to. Evidently, your keyboards in England have pound signs instead of dollar signs, like we do. Very obvious that they should, but I just never gave that any thought.:D:D
What is a "stockist?" (you'll have to bear with us Americans, we just figured out "bonnet" and "tyres.")
Don
Don £90 is $130, £20 is $29
A stockist is one down from a manufactorer, they stock the material and sell to the trade.
I will have you understanding english in the end :D remember a quid :D:D:D
Our keyboards have a £ key and a $
Got to go now the Queens coming for Tea LOL
Hey Steve, you better tell Queenie to lighten up on Fergie and give her some more pounds to spend so she feels she does'nt have to sell out the royal family..:LOL::LOL: I also try to remember the difference in the lingo between her and the States.;);)
Don't you just love it when one of them gets caught out  They are all a bunch of freeloaders in my opinion.
I'm just teasing Don as he hasn't been to england so doesn't know what to expect
Hey whiplash whats your name ??? i hate reffering to people by their login, seems rude to me
I'm totally knocked out by the work you produce. Knocked out.
That is some most excellent worksmanship Steve!!! First rate all the way! Very, very well done!
thanks guys, appreciate the positives, hopefully have a bit more to show soon.
Steve, thats all seriously cool.
I would like to redo the rear in my 26T coupe as it sits too high in the bum (has an old Mk4 Zed car rear but may soon get replaced with an XJ6 Jag one).
A new chassis with a decent kickup will get my t coupe low, but then I cant figure out where to store my stuff when I go off to runs etc. I will not tow a trailer behind my hotrod.
I see a bunch of T coupes that sit way low but I was wondering how much room you will have left in your boot (trunk for our American friends) when it looks like the rear end goes thru the midle of the trunk space.
Also, where you fit a decent sized gas tank.
Thanks
Todd
I'm not to bothered about trunk space Todd, if my measuements are correct i should have room for a tank around 12 gallons or maybe a bit more, I will make a custom shaped tank that will sit tight against the seat back.
For weekends away i tow a teardrop trailer and usually throw our hand luggage in there or in the pickup bed of Sue's 29A R/P
I know what you mean about towing a trailer but its a handy space for stuff, maybe i should put a towbar on Sue's car ;)
