next up, I had a few days off work, so i decided to start rubbing the outside of the car back and get some ubdercoat on it as well.

then i spent one sunday dry rubbing all the primer back, before giving it another coat, this time i added a guide coat and wet rubbed the whole car.

All the painting was done in my back yard in pretty ordinary conditions, the car is now ready to be moved to my new house where it will be wet rubbed back and recoated in the violet, before adding a few coats of clear top coat, all paint used is a single pack acrylic.

well the last picture is pretty much where the car is upto as of this day, I am moving house in the next week or so and the new place has a nice big shed with a concrete floor, so the rest of the painting and wireing and trim will be done when i move there.
I hope you guys have enjoyed looking at my progress pics of the rebuild, i know that i have probably left a few details out, but i will update this thred regularly when i get the chance to start working on the car again.

Well i am all packed up and ready to start moving everything down to the new house which is only about 2 miles away, they say a change is as good as the weather and the new shed will be a bit smaller but at least the floor has concrete instead of dirt like the one i have now, speaking of weather, we have had no rain out here for twelve months and 85% of the state is in drought, but today i woke to the sound of rain hammering down on the roof, we have had 3" of rain today and they are predicting that all the rivers will be in flood over the next few days, the closest dam to me was at just 3% of its capacity and drying up fast before today, so we have been on water restrictions for the past 6 months, now they say that the dam will be at 100% in just 4 days as they are predicting we will get over 12" of rain in the next few days, this is good news for the local farmers who have been praying for rain over the last few years, anyway I will keep you guys posted on how the move goes and will be updating the rest of my rebuild regularly once i get settled into the new house.

You get to moving day and the rain starts? Sounds to me like the farmers should have paid you to move earlier.:3dSMILE: It works the similar way here. Out here in the country we'd get a week long power outage about every other winter............til I put in my backup generator. Haven't had one since. I've been trying to get my neighbors to kick in as a thank you but the cheap ingrates won't loosen the strings......:LOL:

had a great chissy, moved into the new house, now i just need to sort the shed out so i can finish my car and get it back on the road.

It getting a bit wet a bit further out though, with major flooding in some areas, but it has dried out pretty quick around here.

been a while since i updated this, not too much has happened as i have been busy with work, I bought a pair of guide headlights off ebay and have decided to mount them in my front gaurds instead of mounting them where the original lights were mounted off the side of the grill shell, this will get the lights a bit lower to the ground and also thurther apart, hopfully lighting up the road a little better.

Bit of an update.
well since i have been busy with work, i havn't had much time to get out in the shed, but i have decided to get this thing finished and back on the road between now and xmas, fingers crossed all goes to plan.
I have dropped all my seats off to the trimmer, and am now in the middle of making up new door cards and kick panals ect ect so i can send them to him as well, the trimmer is comming around at the end of the week to uninstall my hood (roof) lining and take it away to make me a new on, he is also going to measure up my floors for the new carpet.
I decided to change the supercharger for something a little more period and came accross this B&M 144 on ebay, its been fully recoed and came with the manifold to suit my engine, got the whole setup including pullies for just under $1,100 au
all the gaskets arrived yesterday so i can now finish installing it and get it running again.
In the mean time i need to finish prepping the rest of the body panals for paint, then i can rub it all down and give it a couple of fresh coats of violet and clear it all over the next month,
after all that is done i can start installing the new wireing harness and start putting it all back togeather.
my new gearbox is expected to arrive over the next few days, so that too can be fitted up and the tailshaft installed.
I finally found the right fittings for my master cylinder, so now i can finish hooking up the front brakes.
there is still lots to do, but i am going to spend every spare minute out in the shed that i can, a few guys off my ozi rod forum have offered to come on a road trip to help out one weekend, so i need to get as much done as i can beforei arrange for that weekend.
the last time they came up here they drank 8 cases of beer in two days between the 4 of them, this time there will be about 8 of them, so i guess i had better stock the fridge with plenty of fluids :)
just deciding which way to go with the carb option, either a 425, or the twin 200's or maybe twin 225's
