1982 isuzu, 1947 chevy rat rod. I NEED ADVICE!!!

i have a 1982 isuzu, with a 1947 chevy bed that was narrowed and shortened by Cates in Belleville Wi. my dad has had it for about 20 years. his so called friends skipped out on him after they used his shop to fix their trucks. it is on airbags, 4 inches off ground when they are on rubs door when bags are off. the engine is a 327 chevy, truck needs floor and firewall (old ones didn't work because its to low for the floor pans). please help me, we have it stored in a poll shed but great grandma wants it fixed or gone.

he wants an exposed engine on a truck. would that look good?
