    Question 250

Just curious. My comet now has a 250-6. It leaks a little oil-no big deal, but when my oil gets a little low, all of my lifters rattle at startup. The lower the oil gets, the longer it takes to get oil pressure. As long as the pickup tube is still submerged, it should'nt do this. It almost seems a if there is a hole in my pickup tube that sucks air when the oil gets low enough to expose it. You guys got any ideas?

Check for these 4 things ;clogged pickup
    ;weak oil pump spring
;lot of end play between pump cover and end plate.
;correct oil dipstick length, if some ones put a replacement dipstick in and its to long and you are getting the noises you describe you could be driving along on just about MT :P
