I see Tech beat me to the punch line.. 8-) One thing to understand the first 4 characters represent when the part was originally engineered, so a number like C4xx would be for a part originally engineered for a 64 product, but could've been ( has been) used in vehicles into the 70's or even 80's, so it's a combination of the first 4 then last 4 with any suffixes, that make a full number. HTH.

Since your new and all... I won't start off with the "requests" for pictures...

ps, a great "cheat" is to type in the full number into a google search to identify what you have, then you'll get ebay results and yahoo etc. etc. etc. works pretty good!
