I always used a sort of rule of thumb that cold idle be 300 t0 500 over hot idle, and the step downs on yours sound just about right to me.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.
Twistin' and bangin' on stuff for about sixty or so years; beat up and busted, but not entirely dead - yet.
