10-4, Roger that...
to much stuff trying to occupy what's left of my little brain. I did "chat" with a guy and he said he ran one of these intakes with a stock ford unit "from the day".. so I've been looking at ebay also. Who knows how accurate this guy is.. But it could be a 40 or 50 dollar bet vs. a 300 or 400 dollar gamble.
I found a dizzy at the MSD site that piques my interest, visually I think it might fit, and it has 11 choices of advance curves and it's all done digitally inside the dizzy - under the cap... so I'm window shopping?!?! Shoot me!

Mike, I might still have an old 289 distributor laying around someplace on a shelf---perhaps the early one's were a bit different? Also, some place in one of the dark corners of my feeble brain I seem to remember an offset housing arrangement for a 289???? Not a clue who made it, or even what I might have seen it on. Are the MSD distributors for the crank trigger units a possibility????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

If you could scare up an old unit your willing to part with / or / let me test fit with it, that would be great!!!
Offset won't work as there is a piece of the manifold that passes in front and encircles the dizzy.
I started to go down the road of a crank trigger system, but that's a total re-work of more than a few pieces under the dash. It's possible but not desirable.Last edited by 34_40; 02-06-2013 at 07:16 PM.
