I saw a magazine article years ago where they opened up the towers on something like a 60 Falcon by taking a slice out of the insides to remove the rounded portion. Then they welded a flattened out section in that area that was actually inset somewhat. It gave a lot of room and I think they installed a 427 in there. Maybe something like that would work.

thanks i thought of doing something like that to make more room im going to do everthing i can to get the 351c to fit over this winter first. Before i get a 351w and if i cant get 351c to fit by cuting bending and tweaking atleast i have more room for a 351w with no header problems and i'll save to do it right rod and custum frontend and very nice 351cQuote:

And it not weakening the structure like some have said because they give you the sheet metal to fill in where the shock towers came out, so that the stucture is not compromised. All of the fenderwell is not removed and you could still run a cross bar acrossed the top of the fenderwells. I don't even think the 351 windsor will fit with out being done.
Rod and Custom has the exact kit you need for your car. I know this because I researched it for my car that I am doing the same thing to and have already done to a 73 Mavrick in the past.
