Well, you want cheap hp. when you want Hp's you toss the 2 bbl out the window and get a well, 289 should run good with 500- 600 cfm carb. Also dont forget the Intake and cam. This is cheap Hp, probably under 300 for all. Shave the heads if u feel like it. Oh and u want headders. Hope this helps ya.You don't know what you've got til it's gone
