    Thank you both for your input. Thats weird, the 351 has a different firing order? And do you think I could possibly get away with a 625 road demon jr?

    The reason for the 5.0 and 351 firing order is it takes stress off the front main bearing the old firing order has 1 and 5 in the same position,I think that Summit Carb may work well Ford Muscle did a good Tech article on one and the price is right,I actually run a Carter Competition Series 9635S 625CFM on an RPM intake on my 302 which is the predessor to the Edelbrock Carb.And the reason I advised you to run the aluminum heads is they will be more forgiving with compression and flat tops,also SBF's run best around 170 operating temp,also in your last post you mentioned working the iron heads with the ones I recommended that won't be needed,and don't get hung up on Comp cams you can always buy their decals if it makes you feel good.
