I've been curious enough to check the breakaway torque required to turn the crank with the shortblock assembled. On a couple of small block Chevies I built, it took 30-35 ft/lbs to get the crank turning, then a little less to keep it turning.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.
