rear end selection
ok so i'm debating right now which rear end i would like to put in my car....i was planning on ordering a full currie 9" designed for perfect fitment to my car with posi and 4.56 gears.... but now i got an offer for an 8.8 rear for $150 out of a 91 mustang GT, already has 4.56s and is like $1700 cheaper than what i would spend on the 9".... the only thing is it requires modifications ie; cut off the control arms, change axles to 5 lug($220) and swap over spring perches, which the pinion sits at a tad bit of an angle so i would have to weld them on perfectly or i'd be screwed.... think its worth it to go thru the trouble of the 8.8 or should i just spend the money and get the real deal?just because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
