advice on heads
hey i was wondering...i have a 1967 ford mustang with a 302 Carborator Motor...would it be a good choice to put on 1975 351 Windsor heads, or would it hurt my performance?

Hey drego,
My project is a '65 coupe, 289. My combustion chambers are rated from 55-58 cc's from the numbers I've seen. Your '67 motor will likely have a little bit bigger chambers, but those 75 heads are smog era and probably have pretty big chambers. So while your head might flow more with those bigger valves, your static compression would be way too low to take advantage of it.
Of course this is my opinion from stuff I've read, and I could be missing something. Everybody feel free to correct me.

Find a set of 69-70 351-4V heads, C9OE or D0OE castings. They were 10.7 ratio on a 351, should be good on a 302, around 9.0 comp.
Wiring can be a pain. My problem is I get in a groove and have a plan and then get sidelined to another project and when I come back I forget what the heck my plan was.
