    1/8 mile times

    Hey Guys,

My little 302 ran a 8.58 @ 85 mph with a 2.01 60ft time. I'm going to the track Sunday again with a different throttle linkage so I hope to be able to get that time down. I seems like my secondaries where not opening all the way. I don't drag race much but is this time about right for my mph or should it be faster time wise.

    Later Dennis

Sounds about right to me. Way back in the old days i ran an 8:48 and I think the MPH was 87 also. Don't remember what the 60ft. time was.

Card only shows time, but speed was 87 if my memory hasn't failed me.

My panel truck was a little on the heavy side, wasn't too aerodynamic but had good low end torque. So that might account for the time difference.

The mods are a heads cam and intake. It is in a cobra kit car. The MPH seem fine but the time seem slow. But its a bear to launch
