I am looking at my wiring diagram for my 75 F-100 and it shows a white with red stripe or dash for oil press. and a red with white stripe or dash for engine temp. I hope that helps. I went with mechanical gauges for my 429 which is a blast to drive. Good luck Rick

well i got the oil pressure guage wired but it workes backwards this has me confused sinc ehte guage uses 1 wire and the oild pressure sending unit uses 1 wire is there a way to reverse the polarity before it gets to the guage?

I looked at the wire diagram again for a 75 F-100 - 350 series. The oil pressure sending unit has a wire White with red that goes to the connector on the the back of the instrument cluster. Then there are 2 wires, both white with red, one goes to the oil pressure gauge on the printed circuit. Check the circuit board for corrosion I had problems in the past. The other wire goes to ground through the fuel gauge and is grounded at the rear cross member. Should be near the fuel tank. Maybe the ground is bad. Maybe the polarity is different on your current gauge? Good luck. Rick.

More info the ground wire that goes through the fuel gauge changes to a black with white, then turns to black after the Oil pressure gauge and thats only on a f350. Sorry for the miss info. So the 1/2 ton and 3/4 should go just to the printed circuit. Rick.
