Not sure what will interchange, but a 300 ci six cylinder and matching transmission would make a good swap. Would be just about as easy to go with a V-8 and automatic for the conversion. I am not sure, but you might want to check with a company called "Trans Dapt", or check out the "Speedway Motors" catalog for needed components for the swap.
