    Question 1986 f-150 dunno what engine

     



    just got an 86 f-150. i am positive it aint the original motor.
    looked behind the starter and got these numbers: D4DE-6015-BA
    i am not sure , but with my very limited knowledge of casting numbers, i came up w/ a 1974 falcon i was thinkin it was a 302 outta a mustang because 5.0 emblems on the side of the truck. there is also a sticker on the valve cover . it says ; engine family 302"c" engine displacement 302 cid

    A 302 intake will be only about 9 inches wide. A 351 will be noticeably wider.
