I had a 68 460 that did that. Also had 2 fans. When I put an electric fan sending unit and switch in, to make the fans come on earlier, it fixed the problem.
My fans were in the engine side of the radiator close to the motor blowing air onto the motor.Last edited by Trjohn57; 02-23-2012 at 02:41 PM.

That’s something I didn’t wanna read. I was lucky enough to meet him and his wife when they traveled Route 66, don’t remember the year. I just remembered meeting him at Ted Drew’s custard stand along...
