    Ford 390 Build

    Hello all,
I am new to this board. I am in the process of bringing a 1966 Galaxie 500XL back on the road. The car has a 390, C6 and 3.00 9". Color is black on black. Right now I am working on getting the car back on the road with the current drivetrain.
I am also entertaining the idea of a nice street/strip motor. I am open to suggestions but please note that I plan on keeping the engine a 390. I would like to see ~450hp at the flywheel.
I don't plan on using the original engine for this so I first need to find a block and am wondering which 390 blocks are better than others.
