If youre talking BBF 460, there a good performance head for a FORD. They flow real good when you hog them out. I think they are closed chamber too. Factory performance head. When I built my bbf I opted for a set of Alum. edlebrocks, all I could aford at the time. They do make better

Yep I'm talking about BBF. 429/460 with Dove-c heads. Just wondering about the upside down casted letters and if there was a reason or just a blemish. I get all kinds of opinions and just don't know which is right.

John thats the way my Dove -c heads are. For the end all be all guy, 460 specialist, Paul Kane here can tell you everything you might need to know. He also reworks these heads, so if you wanted to send them out he might be your man. He probably will see this thread and respond in the next few days.

Thats cool, like I said I was just wondering. I don't have alot of plans for these engines as of now. Just keeping them in the building for later and trying to learn all I can for future reference. Thanks

They are some of the most desirable stock heads for the 460. In the late 60's, early 70's the 460 engine with these heads were putting out over 300 horse power in their stock configuration. If you google them you'll get a ton of hits, some with accurate info, some not. But you will get the gist of it.
Actually I found a link back here where Paul has already added some comments that are really helpfull.
