I don't think Jerry was being anything but honest based on experience... You can get 450 out of an FE, but it's going to take some major rework on a set of HP heads or a set of aftermarket aluminum heads. Don't know about the cam, last one I put together I had Barry at Survival Motorsports make the cam selection...he's one of the best FE guys around and runs a really first rate business.

Not hearing what you want to hear can hurt your feelings, but most of us on CHR prefer honesty to inflated "brag numbers" on horsepower, and Jerry has built enough of these and most any other model of engine to know what he's talking about.
