Just my $0.02 here, but I have never really been concerned about "how much horsepower" will a certain combo make. I'd be looking more at what you intend to do with the drivetrain once it is built. Is this for a street cruiser, pure strip machine, mud truck, etc. ? Where do you need the power? Lots of power in the low to mid rpm range for a cruiser? Peak HP for the track? Match all the parts (from front to back) to work together and you end up with much better results (and satisfaction) than shooting for an arbitrary number.
If you want a guesstimate, I'd say you would probably end up somewhere between the 370-410 HP area at the crank.

funny its the same basic build that was in an earlier thread that asked about 500 hp from a 390 that is posted on on page 2 of this forum Techinspecter1 ran it thru his dynosim and it went over 500.What gives?????????Tuffdawg engines claim the same basic combo is over 400hp
That was my whole quetion,WILL IT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!Simply say no and give some suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I THINK THATS WHAT I ASKED FOR!!!!!!!!!!!
I also asked if the same combo was streetable but I guess noone read down that far
I'm not upset because I heard something I didnt want to here,In fact thats what I wanted to know.My thing is the way it was worded. And I have a 5000 dollar budget for my engine!!!!!!!!!!

To make my point clear Lord Antagonism says what is it intended for.I clearly stated that at the beguinning of the thread. So maybe U all should read the whole thing and then give an opinion,NOT A CONDISENDING ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!
