What is a cammer motor? Someone, please explain. 1200 HP sounds pretty good though.

.....a Ford Edsel block V8 with a Single Overhead Camshaft on top of hemispheric combustion chamber heads. Ford made over 600 Horsepower with this engine using a Single 4v carb and no power adders.

Ha ha, I saw that same twin turbo 427. The guy that worked there told me it had been in some sort of race boat.

FE Galaxie, just to set the record straight, "FE" stands for Ford Engine, not Ford Edsel. A lot of folks are under that impression, but it ain't so.

Nope, not me, just a bit on the ugly side though. But I thought that ever since the day they were new. See some nice examples at the car shows.

Is this Ford's "Hemi" ad far as the mystique and availability? What years were these made for and what kind of cars did they come in? Where the heck are the spark plugs?!?

Ain't that the motor Ford came out with to dust the Hemi in NASCAR.???? In the late 70's I use to wrench for a NDBA unblown gas hydro and there was a guy who ran one of those things and let me tell ya it was a monster, Wonder if it's the same one ???? If I remember right it did'nt run head gaskets it had o-rings around every hole.

Ok, i may have to go pick up some head gaskets for my truck this week. I shall just bring my digital camera, and photograph that twin turbo motor. Hopefully i can figure out how to post a picture on this site. That motor is really a sight to see.
