    i always use neoprime seals but they have to be put in correctly the open of the seal goes toward the front of the engine. if you put ythe tapered end of the seal toward the front it will leak.rope seals are a good thing to stay away from.have not used them since the 60's. plus the plug at the end of the camshaft did they install one?
