I just had the carb at a very respected shop in Costa Mesa. I thaught it was a 780 but was told it is 790. I will be pulling it apart in about a week to check the offy intake with a straight edge. In the mean time I have looked around the forum and found some references to "cork gaskets" ? I am not a mechanic, weekender at best. Long time GM guy new to the Ford world. thanks for your help!
