Building a 390 when i get home.... Looking to get lots of high end torque and power all over the place, want to know what others have done to achieve numbers in the 5-600's on natural aspiration.

I've got the edelbrock alluminum heads, scj size valve.
 2x4 setup off of a 63 1/2 galaxie
 Hooker Supercomps
 Bought a cam:

Got the MSD 6al setup, coil, dizzy, box
 Got an electrical fuel pump
Got a true roller timing chain
The 390 im working on has 10.5:1 factory compression.

Anyone else have something like this or somewhat similar? What can I expect when I put it all together? What can I do to improve it?

Cam may be a little undersized for the compression you have, to get the big numbers. I'm no F%#*D guy, but I would suggest you go roller and bigger with the heads you have. Someone with more knowledge than me will be along I'm sure. Thank you soooooooooo much for your service, and for keeping my family safe at home.! We salute you!"oohh...thats gonna leave a mark!"
